Join Marilyn Kushner — curator and head of the NY Historical Society Dept. of Prints, Photographs and Architectural Collections — and Ted Merwin, Author of Pastrami on Rye: An Overstuffed History of the Jewish Deli. Explore how Jewish Immigrants imported and adapted traditions to create a uniquely American take-out store and restaurant—followed by a Sunday Jewish Deli Supper from The Essen Room, Pikesville MD.

  Choice of Corned Beef, Pastrami, Turkey ( meat is 1/2 pound for each sandwich) or Tuna already made up into sandwiches on large platters served on rye bread
